SDH-P4080N is a 8 channel Samsung Hybrid Security System. It is an all-in-one home surveillance system and it comes with everything you need in the box. The DVR system comes with 8 night vision security cameras (SDC-8340BU (HD) & SDC-5340BC (SD)). These Samsung Surveillance cameras are all rated IP66 (Weatherproof) and record up to 82ft range. The SDH-P4080N comes with 4 RJ45 (CAT5e) and 4 BNC Siamese cables for all 8 of your included surveillance cameras.

SDH-P4080N is one of the very few Samsung Hybrid Security systems with a RJ45 and BNC cables. Because of the BNC connectors, it is also one of the most versatile Surveillance DVR systems available from Samsung’s DIY line of Home security systems. The system comes with a 2 TB Seagate HDD and it utilizes H.264 compression technology, giving you a long recording time. The DVR security system is easy to set up and easy to use. If you run into any problems, Samsung also offers you a life time technical support service. Your Samsung surveillance cameras can be set for motion detection and for email event alerts. The Surveillance DVR can also be linked with an infinite number of other Samsung Security Systems through smartviewer; a program that allows you to monitor multiple security surveillance systems at one time.

Connectivity

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) 

Not like previously SDE series (ex. SDE-5001N), the new SDH series equipped with HDMI to display high digital quality images on your existing monitor or LCD/LED TV. By using this input, you can pass digital video and audio signal from Samsung DVR to your monitor (needed to be equipped with speaker) and LCD/LED TV to hear or observe your stored footage.

VGA (Video Graphics Array)

The standard analogue output for all Samsung security system including SDS-P5101N. In order to maximize your display capability with VGA, we highly recommend to use 15-pin VGA cable rather than 12-pin VGA cable (due to compatibility issue).
